Although the Dada 5000 fight was a fluke, that fight was still rugged for someone with that kind of heart condition. Yeah he was juiced but still showed his grit when he could've backed out.

Damn. How the eff is a guy needing a heart transplant a few months after a fight he won? I'd assume he's had this damage for awhile & its nothing new, but maybe I'm mistaken in that belief. Or if it is such a new thing I wonder if his recent steroid use brought forth a smaller problem to the point of being a bigger problem quicker?

F#cked up situation regardless. Bring on Baby Slice now I guess. Heard he's KOing mfers.

Yes. It is linked with heart disease which could lead to heart failure. http://www.smh.com.au/national/young...226-33ije.html

But it's a common condition and could be caused by lots of other things (drinking, infections, diabetes, high blood pressure etc etc).

EDIT: I assumed you meant roids, but abusing other drugs could be the culprit as well.

Drugs. 100%. Don't know if it was roids, but definitely drugs.

I was about to say - this should have, or potentially should have, been picked up in his pre-fight medicals?

Then I realized, most MMA is a loosely regulated band of cowboys anyway, and he likely didn't even get a checkup.
