I think you're right. That was all about Al Haymon's beef with Jay-Z, who's behind Roc Nation. The old beef with Beyoncé seems to kill any business between those two. I remember reports that Haymon paid Quillen to vacate. That's some sad shit, when an "advisor's" personal issues negatively impacts his fighter's career.
Clown Quillin explains why he really turned down 1

Yeah I don't buy his wife's pregnancy as too plausible an excuse. First off, he was committed to the fight days after RN won the purse bid. He tweeted to JayZ how excited he was to be working with him. Later he deleted that tweet. Then there was a period of silence where RN & TR were saying that they weren't getting any response from Quillin. Then on the deadline Quillin vacated. He didn't request time off from the WBO to take the fight later in the year, he simply vacated. In the past, the WBO has held interim title fights b/c the champion was unable to proceed. He came up with that like 2-3 months after dropping the belt. Then he changed the story again to his uncle and cancer. Before that he always gave ****** reasons regarding money.
Him changing the reason every time he was asked about it makes me question every single excuse he gave.Comment

Dude you act like people should stop their life and job for life's issues. I was in a similar situation as my wife also had miscarriage and my grandfather died around the same time too years ago but I didn't stop what I do to make a living. FU CK if I had a chance to make 1.4mil around that same time my wife would have killed me if I didn't go for it.
