Pssh, you're dreaming. The big bettors who wager on boxing matches won't ever let Ward become the favorite. They'd rather put down 60,000 to win 10 rather than back the underdog. In boxing, the big money always goes to the favorite. The May/Pac event was an anomaly because how much was actually wagered on the event...& mind you, it was 6 to 1 on Pac bets over May...even though May was the favorite....but the big money was still on May, especially the big bettors who waited until the day before to make their wager & move the line. No big bettor is going to bet the farm on Ward off of, so far, 1 tune-up fight...& a fight he barely let his right hand go. These big bettors are watching all these fights. They'd rather back GGG big, then hit up the props for some value on Ward. Why would you think they would bet the farm on Ward?...he's not even popular...there won't be a ton of casuals betting on him. Where did you get your assumption? Like I said, in betting boxing, big money always takes the favorite.

And sure, come to my book & bet...my book is one of the few who offers early boxing fight odds...you'll figure it out...there's only so many outfits that take sports bets.
Then I would take GGG as SOON as possible for the insurance and wait out tell get highest and then unload on the big $$$$$. Win/Win. I would give Canelo about a 25% chance of winning. At anything close to +560+++ some serious good odds.

I told you, I work for a sports book. Big money will always take the favorite...even a -650 favorite. And we're talking guys who might wager half-a-mil in a night of boxing...mind you, we don't usually offer undercard fights as a wager. So, basically, these big bettors are waging a ton on 1 fight. There was this one case where these brothers who owned a pearl business in the pacific isles would only ever come to vegas on the weekends when there was a boxing match...and these guys would fire away on the biggest favorites, no matter how high we set the line...we're talking -500, -700, -900...I'm not trying to do you bad...i'm just telling you where the money usually goes. So, if a GGG/Ward fight is ever made, GGG will be the favorite & the big money will be on him.

You can take everything I say with a grain of salt, if you want. I'm just giving these boxing fans what information I have. The big money will be on GGG because it is a boxing match...in boxing, the big money will always take the favorite. That's just the way it works. It's the reason why not every book provides wagers on boxing...the book always takes a loss. The May/Pac fight was one of the few fights I've seen over the years where the book actually made a good profit. Even the last GGG fight no one was backing the underdog Wade. Do what you want with this information.

No I believe you. Usually you can't go wrong taking a huge favorite. You just have to have a SHT ton of money to make anything from it . I try to Stay away from big dogs but someone like Canelo who I don't give much chance of winning but enough I would beat both hoping to catch the fights before and after the big swing.

I wouldn't dare take the over on any GGG fight. And even then, the number for the over will probably be something like 8.5, over at -250 or something like that. That's how the books discourage bettors from taking the total...even the Barthelemy fight we had the over 9.5 at -275. Exact results is the best option for value...& even then, you have to pounce on them early. Not every book offers exact results either.

Truth be told, the only reason why we would offer a boxing match with such a huge favorite is because these big bettors are asking about it. They would be like, "aren't you taking bets on the Barthelemy fight?" And we'd like check our numbers, look incredulously at each other, then shrug our shoulders & make it a bettable market. If a guy is willing to put up a quarter mil on 1 bet, we're not going to stop them.
