And sure, come to my book & bet...my book is one of the few who offers early boxing fight odds...you'll figure it out...there's only so many outfits that take sports bets.

They'd rather put down 60,000 to win 10 rather than back the underdog. In boxing, the big money always goes to the favorite. The May/Pac event was an anomaly because how much was actually wagered on the event...& mind you, it was 6 to 1 on Pac bets over May...even though May was the favorite....but the big money was still on May, especially the big bettors who waited until the day before to make their wager & move the line. No big bettor is going to bet the farm on Ward off of, so far, 1 tune-up fight...& a fight he barely let his right hand go. These big bettors are watching all these fights. They'd rather back GGG big, then hit up the props for some value on Ward. Why would you think they would bet the farm on Ward?...he's not even popular...there won't be a ton of casuals betting on him. Where did you get your assumption? Like I said, in betting boxing, big money always takes the favorite.

Originally posted by JUNIABOY View PostI told you, I work for a sports book. Big money will always take the favorite...even a -650 favorite. And we're talking guys who might wager half-a-mil in a night of boxing...mind you, we don't usually offer undercard fights as a wager. So, basically, these big bettors are waging a ton on 1 fight. There was this one case where these brothers who owned a pearl business in the pacific isles would only ever come to vegas on the weekends when there was a boxing match...and these guys would fire away on the biggest favorites, no matter how high we set the line...we're talking -500, -700, -900...I'm not trying to do you bad...i'm just telling you where the money usually goes. So, if a GGG/Ward fight is ever made, GGG will be the favorite & the big money will be on him.

I try to Stay away from big dogs but someone like Canelo who I don't give much chance of winning but enough I would beat both hoping to catch the fights before and after the big swing.
