When did Canelo offer the fight at 155?

The fight was never on the table, not at 155 or any other weight.

K2 are ready to negotiate the weight but apparently Golden Boy is making excuses.

Do you even pay attention? Canelo is not ready for GGG, he himself said weight is not an issue, he'll fight at 160 eventually. So it is obvious weight is not the issue, the issue is he needs to get ready first, tries to delay the fight and hopes GGG will move up or get old.

Guess we will never know Sanchez!! You haven't let him budge from 160 in ten years. Maybe one day..............😐

Then call Canelo's bluff and take the fight at 155, embarrass him at his own weight request and get your biggest payday *10 in the process.
Like ODL said, GGG thinks he is a star but hasn't earned it. GGG has no leverage on anyone with a pulse so he fights guys that have no other options.

Because Alvarez generally comes in heavier than Golovkin and is blatantly trying to impose a catchweight on Golovkin to weaken him and as such there is no reason for Alvarez not to come up to 160?

I don't know about you but I want to see the best boxers fight the best boxers at their best. That means Alvarez vs. Golovkin at 160 and Golovkin vs. Ward at 168.

I don't really care what nonsense Sanchez spouts about 154 to 168. If Golovkin could make 155 the contract would already be signed. 160 is fair to both fighters. Both are already there. It's just the usual "A-side" nonsense that's poisoned this sport for too long.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all up for seeing the fight at 160 without the catchweight bull****, but if your team insists you KO everyone from 154-168 then why make weight the obstacle for certain fights when they fall right within that range?

Why say Golovkin can beat anyone between 154 and 168 when what you mean is Golovkin can beat anyone between 154 and 168 at 160? It does Golovkin no favours to omit that.
There's no ambiguity, just a few very ****** people who process information on the same level as a 5 yo child.

Anybody of average intelligence should understand what Sanchez means without needing to have it explained to them.

And no, it doesn't mean he would only fight at 160. It means that, like any other champion in the sport, Golovkin would decide for himself whether to move up or down from his natural weight division, rather than have his opponent dictate that to him.

And he might be willing to do it for one guy, at one point in his career, but not for another, at a different point. That would depend on how much the fight was worth, and what the options were in his own division.

Did you really need to have that explained to you?

No idea. I think they all need to sit down and discuss exactly what the plan is for Golovkin and then stick to it. No more letting Sanchez go off script.
