I'm a huge fan of Ali. But I don't like the white-washing of him in the media. He was a complex character, not some kind of saint. At one point in his life he preached racial segregation (imagine if a white man had said that), and aligned himself with a number of unsavoury characters. However he changed his opinion from this viewpoint and did a lot of good too. More importantly what he achieved against Foreman, Frazier, etc was awesome.
Ali didn't pick fights or duck anyone. He fought the best at their best. A lesson to Floyd Mayweather who won't be remembered in anything like the same way. Proof that unbeaten records mean nothing.
