Biggest difference is Beterbiev has been floored, GGG is still yet to taste canvas.
      Which fight?

Leave It to PBC To Screw Up

Leave it to PBC to screw up the traditional memorial 10ct. Can PBC do anything right, they royally screwed up the 10ct for Ali. Could they have least made sure the bell they were going to use to pay tribute to Ali would work. It looked and sounded like a piece of junk.

Only PBC could **** up so badly. This shows they have 0 respect for the traditional 10ct bell ring for boxers or those involved in boxing. It was just pathetic and was just shows poorly on PBC for not getting a bell that worked. HBO made sure the one they used worked and their 10ct bell ring was done well and respectful unlike PBC.

yeah I thought It was a balance shot. have to call it a knockdown because it was from a punch. Kovalev has been knocked down a couple times as well. though most would agree vs the australian it was a balance shot + stepping on the foot.

I'd like to say beterbiev would win but I dont know. depends on a lot. most ring experts think kovalev wins because he fights an outside fight. I'm don't think that's the case. two people coming forward. it would be great while it lasted. I think (have no proof) that beterbiev punches a bit harder and has a more talanted right hand.

Kovalev might have the higher ring IQ. not sure how beterbiev does in late rounds. Kovalev was down and hurt badly vs boone (won a split dec)

it's an intresting fight for sure. Stevenson vs beterbiev needs to happen sometime soon

It wasn't a real knockdown vs Jeff Page Jr. more like he lost balance he wasn't even hit properly.

Beterbiev was impressive, his jab did alot of destruction in round 1&2 to set up round 3 & 4.

Antonin Décarie also said on RDS.ca about Beterbiev training : "He is a monster. When he train for a fight*, he hire 4-5 sparring partners and they alternate for 1 round in hope to give him 8-12 rounds of boxing. No one could last 12 rounds of sparring with Beterbiev. He is too strong and not funny to spar with (hits too strong) and always give everything he have in sparring."

If Chechens and Dagestanis would have bigger population and if they would be interested in boxing instead of sambo, they'd dominate the **** out of the sport, believe me. We would have a lot of Beterbievs in every division.
Everybody who's been North Caucasus know that they're that naturally strong. It's not even funny how stronger is average Dagestani/Chechen who grew up in natural environment compared to average Russian from some big urban city.
There's no way you can top their power if you grew up in some urban conditions
But at this moment, Beterbiev have a lot of things to improve, this talent is too raw

They're not ethnic Russians and not even Slavs. That's a typical kind of look and facial features for ethnicities from Caucasus mountains (like Chechens, Dagestanis,Ossetians, etc) and most of them have Turkic or Persian roots. I mean, their look is so distinct, you can easily spot these people among ethnic Russians like Kovalev. That's why Beterbiev and Gassiev looks similar. You can look up Rustam Khabilov as an another example of that

On a side note, I remember that Amar Suloev who was a UFC Armenian/Yazidi fighter from the same area, Caucasus mountains, turned out to be an enforcer and contract killer for some businessman from Southern Russia and Rustam Khabilov was shot 8 times in Dagestan. Not to mention that Shamhalaev, who's another UFC fighter from that area got shot 5 times recently while he was carrying assault rifle. The fighting kind of sports and crime in Russia always seems to be related to each other.

Nah kovalev would blend right in with a pack of chechens imo, he looks to have a bit of kavkazi in him himself. With guys like povetkin and pirog on the other hand, yeah.
