Nah.
And randomly if you haven't seen AKA Cassius Clay yet this would be a great time to check that out. Its one of my favorite Ali projects. Him & Cus D'Amato shoot the ****. I wish there was 100 videos out there of them shooting the ****. Its great.Comment

Don't remember Vietnam too well. I remember Nixon giving his wave and getting in the helicopter. Ali fights were the sporting pinnacle of that decade for me. The 80's were not near as good. I remember one title fight Ali attended around 83 or 84 and the crowd erupted with Ali Ali when the camera went on him ringside. The dudes in the ring didn't matter. That's a true legend.Comment

I remember many of his fights, he was definitely very special. It was a pleasure to watch him fight, even though I was a Frazier fan at that time.Last edited by doninlouisiana; 06-04-2016, 05:21 PM.Comment

Not old enough, I grew up in the Tyson era. Wanted to ask the guys that remember, what was it like when Ali fought on TV? I mean, was it like a Superbowl type event where half the sets in the US are tuned to it? Or, was it just a big boxing match and it's been made it to be more than it was in retrospect?Comment

Ali was a draft dodging, arrogant loudmouth who was a bad representation of the black community. All in all, he was a warrior inside the ring but a coward outside out of it. Condolences to his family.Comment

My parents would watch him in the 1970's going to whoever had a TV in the neighbourhood in Pakistan. My mom said Ali always won, no matter what. I can't imagine that happening with any other boxer or athlete in Pakistan aside from their own cricketers like Imran Khan who is an idol there.Comment
