Anyways I'm not Chicano/Mexican but just a plain Spanish speaking white farmer from the almonds orchards of Modesto.
I ****ing hate Modesto. been there several times. So many white Chicano Spanish speaking loco's.

I love almonds, thanks for being a farmer. Noble profession.

I do nothing of real tangible value. My job makes money for the bank, but it is not that useful. My cousin blames me for the crash of 2008, and I am a nobody. My friends in the states **** on me because BOfA Merrill lynch charges fees for everything.

I have nothing to do with any of that. I get blamed cuz guys in India call my buddies over late payments. I have no control over anything like that.

    Anyway, hablamos despues.

I think I get to caught up with younger guys like spoon and irrationally take it out on PAC.

      Thanks for pointing that out.

      Peace brother.

I didn't see him in his prime, but as I kid, I did see him when he was still a good fighter and watched him fight guys like Ernie Shavers, Ken Norton and Leon Spinks on ABC. Ali made trash talk into an art form. I used to love watching Howard Cosell call one of Ali's fights.

Like Floyd Mayweather, Muhammad Ali was hated as a boxer by many. He became the hero that he is today long after he retired.

Don't ever mention Ali and mayweather in the same sentence. Ali talked and fought in what he believed outside the ring and in the ring. Ali is the true tbe. Mayweather is getto trash and the reasons people hate him are legit. Mayweather is a disgrace to the black community who continues to promote black stereotypes. Aka f!u!c!k mayweather and all the Larrys

i was just 7 yrs old when jfk was shot....

yet those kind of events really get to be etched deep in one's memory...

zaroku is one of my students here on nsb, though he doesn't know it or he won't acknowledge it....he's one hard headed playful spirit with a masters degree in ping pong but he's a nice guy when jhonny gets to supervise him somehow....

I was born after JFK, have no memory of something I never experienced.
I appreciate the advice when I get out of line.

Manny is a more exciting fighter than Floyd

I'm translating from a non-boxing or sport related magazine, a memorial. It's so sweet.
"It was 70s, we were children of a Turkish family moved to Germany to make money. Life was hard. Once a week there would be Turkish radio broadcast and we used to wait for it to hear whats happening in our homeland. We used to wake up early to watch Ali's fight, our fathers sometimes would spend the night awake to watch Ali fight early in the morning and go to work dizzy having been awake all the night. They would talk about the fight when they come together at work.
My father was telling me that their chief/supervizor was mocking with him through Ali, the chief was a German. When Ali lost the first time against Frazier, it made all of us so saddened. After his loss the chief did mock with my father again. But then when Ali dropped Frazier my father went to the chief to talk about Ali's win, trying to say "Ali hit him and grounded him" starts to mimic with his fists and feet because his German was not sufficient. So, what happened is, my father says the chief knew what he meant but acted the fool and reported him to a higher manager saying that "This Turk threatened me, he says he will beat me". They fired my father. He came home with a bread in his hands at evening but he wasn't sorry, rather happy. He did lost his job because of Ali but his for love for him never decreased."
