There's absolutely nothing irrational about it. Floyd has invited this on himself, despite making some positive comments.
The things he said don't just vanish.
The fact that people hate Floyd doesn't justify twisting his statement into something completely opposite of what he said.

There's no doubt he's made some condescending comments about Ali, for no other reason than bigging himself up. He should have said: "Ali was the greatest of his era. I am this best of my era" or something to that extent. He's probably said something like it.
But when you go in a ridicule what is commonly considered one of the greatest victories of all times, you automatically invite a lot of people to hate you. In that moment, I guess he forgot that Ali paved the way for him and was an idol to his race and people around the world for half a century.
But there's nothing wrong with the comment.
By Ali's own admission his game plan for the Foreman fight was move and dance, he tried that in the first round but felt like he's gonna get tired, so he switched up the plan and decided to stay on the ropes to let Foreman punch himself out, so if Ali felt like he had the stamina to move for 15 rounds he would've done it, but only because he felt like he couldn't he had to absorb a ton of punishment from one of the most devastating punchers in history until he finally punched himself out and was ready to go, Floyd said he'd never do that because you only box half your life and in the second half you wanna enjoy what you did in the first half, no idea what's wrong about that.

But there's nothing irrational about why people dislike that comment. They have reasons to do so, based on Mayweather's previous comments about Ali. So completely rational.

A lot of the things he's said have been ill advised or kind of misplaced, but he's a good man and a charitable man according to most people who know him.
But if you bring it to to Floyd's karma.
Who behind the camera praised his "goodness"?
The 2 ex wifes he beat up?
Even out of promotion, I just don't like his comments, and YET "promoting" to me is not an excuse for being a c@nt and a biggot.
I doubt about him being a good person, I can feel it.
Now, that's thread about Ali passing, so I'll not talk about Floyd anymore in this thread and won't answer to your next comment.

Plenty of people have said it. Don't understand why you're asking me a question before saying you won't respond. That was odd.

Unfortunately humans are blessed with memories. So no, there's nothing irrational about this.
