You hit the nail on the head. smart comment. Boxing is a niche sport, we love it but there are not enough fans / sponsors to justify the amounts these fighters want to make in this era.

Look it's just better to get them guys out the way..and let the new hungry breed come through....goodbye to mayweather, pacquaio, cotto and marquez...it's done , finished, closed book...the new hungry breed like crawford, spence, joshua, frampton, loma, kovalev and even the wards and golovkins are happy making 4 or 5 million are the ones who should be pushed forward now and forget the old guard ...boxing is changing its guard and so should the fans and the t.v stations as well....I'm looking forward to heavyweight era beczuse things will start to heat up pretty soon

Thank you for saying this. We always hear Mayweather need to retire but people are welcoming back Marquez and he hasn't fought in two years. Mayweather retired on top of his game and would still be favored to beat any fighter at welterweight. Marquez and Cotto are done. They don't want to fight anyone of significance so they should retire.

I really, really do not want to see this fight. I already had to sit through Cotto beating the dog **** out of one cripple who I liked, I don't need to see it again.

Apart from the PPV sales because of Mayweather and Pacquiao... and little numbers he did against Barrera because of Barrera... what has Marquez done on his own to make himself think he's a PPV attraction?

Pointless fight where a promoter is trying to just put two names together...

Another reason that UFC is a superior product.. the next guy in line gets the shot in the UFC or he'll get the shot after 1 interim-fight at the most...

Boxing, you'll be lucky once a year to see a clear 1 fight the clear 2 in a division ever..

Maybe - Kova v. Ward will happen if Ward is finally done cherry-picking for years now... boxing is all about names vs. names.

You are a turd of a poster.

                    A typical dopey pacstain.
