If Porter wins he's top 3 for sure. I'd argue he would be above brook, Brooke hasn't done anything but win a competitive fight with Porter. Porters resume is much better.. Vargas sucks, Brooke might stop him. Vargas beats a hype job Ali and lose 11 out of 12 rounds to Bradley and all the sudden he's a top ww?

Bradley is 1, Porter 2, Thurman 3 imo

I don't think Shawn could say that since he lost to Brook and Brook hasn't lost since (although he hasn't taken a risk since)...but Shawn would definetly be in the mix of top WW fighters if he beats Keith.

He could KO Thurman in the first round and it wouldn't make his loss to Brook disappear. Brook is fighting a champion too. If both Porter and Brook win then Brook has two belts to one belt for Porter plus Brook has a win over Porter. It would be hard for Porter to claim superiority over Brook unless and until Brook loses a fight.

Well, there is a lot of quantity.
Abregu, Provo, Rios, Marquez, Vargas, Chaves, 3 competitive fight with Pacquiao(who would school any other WW today)..
Nobody at WW has a great resume exclusively at WW.
            Garcia's is garbage
            Thurman's hinges on this fight

                Well said.

This is a huge fight nonetheless. Right behind Bradley and Brook, the two kingpins, Porter and Thurman battle for that next spot - gatekeeper status until one can unify the belts.

So he has a fake win over Pacquiao. I mean, they are all good fighters especially Marquez and Pacquiao, but the rest aren't special in any way. Chaves is good-ish, and Rios was done. Provo, Vargas etc aren't welterweights and neither is Marquez for that matter.

I'm not saying anyone has a great WW resume, but Bradley also didn't fight any of the other top genuine welterweights and never did.

Just to make it clear, I think Bradley does have a good resume. I just don't think he beat any good welterweights.

If Porter wins then Kell Brook is number one at welter. I'd place Bradley second and Porter third.
