Ali, then known as Cassius Clay, got dropped and almost stopped by Henry Cooper, just before he won the title from Liston.

Nobody in his whole career hurt Ali as bad as Cooper did, and Henry could easily have made LHW if he'd wanted. He was only fighting at HW because the purses were so much bigger.
