Wladimir has to hope a good punch lands and he can actually hurt and finish Fury. That's all he has, a punchers chance.

Whenever I picture this fight I don't see Klitschko winning the rounds or out-landing Fury. Fury beats him on the outside and on the inside, he can't physically dominate him in the clinch either. He has to learn to work the body when on the inside and start letting his hands go instead of clinching for a start. He ain't going to win this by clinching and head hunting that's for sure.

I'm predicting a one-sided beating in this fight. Fury will make this messy as *** and finish him by the 9th, Wladimir proving he is incapable of body punching and a novice on the inside.

Wlad was paid off to not try the first time for the mega rematch money. Now it's time for him to end Fury's 15 minutes of fame.

The problem no one seems to think about with Wlad going "all out" is that that's exactly how he got knocked out early in his career. He doesn't have the stamina to fight more aggressively for 12 rounds, so if he tries too hard for an early KO he'll be dead meat late in the fight. There's a reason Wlad developed such a terrible, inactive style.

Looking back at some of those fights, it's not even because he went all out. it was just that he engaged.

He's just not that type of fighter. He can say what he wants pre fight, but he's going to get hit in the first round, do what he's always done- probably then get KOd or retire.

And then afterwards say that he just doesn't have it in him anymore.

Amen. People acting like Fury has to have a killer punch to put Wlad out. He's 6'9" and over 17 stone. When Wlad gets sloppy, he can be toppled.

"Through the years, the attitude of defending the titles is different from conquering the man that stands in front of you" - Is this an admittance of sorts? That the fighter he allowed himself to become was anathema? No compiling of statistics can erase the memory of that man's in ring performances. And against the most pitiful parade of heavyweights in living memory.

Part of me would like to see him redeem himself. A nod to the fighter that he could have been. Fury isn't exactly conducting himself in a manner befitting a champion. He seems intent on piss-staining the heavyweight crown with the destructive petulance of a spurned man child.

I'm torn on this one. I do like a redemptive tale and Wlad's professionalism alone entitles him to some measure of support. The problem is that I hold his conduct within the ring contemptible. I may be happy and annoyed in equal measure no matter the outcome of this one.

It's regrettable what he allowed himself to settle for. Obviously at first glance that comment seems a little odd considering how much he did achieve in his career but a man with his application and willingness to dedicate himself to the sport could easily have been a better boxer than the one he become. Emanuel Stewart has to take some of the criticism for that.

Was it the Pulev fight where he was lauded for throwing a left hook? As if he was a novice learning his craft and not already a long reigning world champion. . . Look! He can throw a left hook! . . . what was instructive about that and sums up his approach quite nicely is that he consistently followed that up with a two handed push so his opponent had no way of countering. A tiresome illegitimate manoeuvre to help him cling on to his spoils.
