    Marco Antonio Rubio ??????????

    David Lemieux ??????????????

The point was made that GGG has had the chance to move up or down to make his legacy. The issue with his promoter, trainer, and team is they are trying to build him as the greatest Middleweight in the history of boxing, instead of the greatest p4p fighter in the history of boxing. His unwillingness to move up or down for anyone at his age is not good. He is not a big money draw when he is fighting bums. And his one headline on PPV fell flat.

The chance was there to fight a Ward and that team shook because they did not want to move up. No matter what Loffer tried to sell the public. HBO has both of them under that banner and the fight did not happen. Probably one of the easier potential opponents for GGG. GGG and his team need to give up that Canelo dream for now and focus on the fights that can get made #1 is Lara.

I have said it before to be considered great you have to be willing to move up or down. He doesn't lose his middleweight status by doing that, and it is proving he dares to be great.

What us it about the differences between Big Name and Talented that s so hard.

Mosley and Cotto both have big names, both would give GGG a big name win.

Neither would be as talented as Lara right now.

Never once did I say Lara would absolutely not be the most talented, only that I'm not totally convinced he would be he most talented that GGG fought, although I am not sure he fair as well as Murray did because Murray is built like a rock. Lara has not faced many top fighters, so I'm suspect on his talent. He has beaten 1 or 2 top tens in like four years. Angulo and Trout both would have been destroyed by GGG. Probably Canelo too.

However, there is a large difference between talent and big name, and LARA is not a big name.

Your signature is uber cool man, Legends & a legendary battle that was, I was too young to see it live but was always told that it was a fight to remember & few year back I saw it on youtube & boy! what a masterclass performance from Leonard..
Ahh thanks mate...you seem a cool guy and respectful as well...this forum is never personal and some of the conversations are hilarious and OTT...yeah I grew up with those legends I boxed because I wanted to be like leonard and I've loved ever since...it's shame that its lost its way a bit but there's still some great fighters in the mix it it's seems so hard to get them to face each other now as money seems the driving force before it was bragging rights...it's just a phase i thnk...as for klitchcko what ever happens he's proved himself already and if he does pull it off in the rematch that will add even more to his legacy ...I see lennox fight 5 times live and 2 of them was in America against holyfield ...first in MSG and then the thomas and mack in Vegas .....6 young men running wild in Vegas ...mental lol

Cmon man you and i know both are just name dropping and know they have no chance of winning. Only thing they would be winning is being $half a million heavy.

Yeah Jacobs is set to fight the mighty TBA, leading candidate of Sergio Mora. Pffft. Obviously that could be easily scrapped for a MUCH bigger fight in Golovkin, if that's what Jacobs/PBC wanted. Doesn't appear that way though. I think Jacobs is fine with milking his "regular" title status until 2017.

Then call the bluff or how about stop saying the Jacobs no longer talks about fighting him and start calling him out. Pushing for the fight. Not say "i wonder if his team will want it" but then again a sit and wait fighter

I don't think Ward was ever running. I think most ppl just don't want to fight GGG for Domincac "House Arrest" Wade or Gary Stevens $$$$.

Why bother? 2 things are gonna happen. You're gonna probably get KTFO and make dog sht doing it. Ohh and a 3rd is making K2 a TON of $$$$$$ while ppl laugh at you when you go back to driving Cabs...

What kind of response is that lol it makes no sense given the context. I'm saying since Jacobs July 30th date is versus TBA obviously it's not that big of a deal and if he wants Golovkin it would not be an issue to scrap that little card and have a big fight with Golovkin. It's not like his July 30th fight is some huge event, no one cares about it.

This is a dying sport where losing is such a terrifying thought. These fighters should start looking for a regular job or something.
