The problem, as I see it, is that people would like to be fans of the guy, but the reluctantly of fighting threats, real legitimate threats, does not allow them to do so. Thus far the opportunity to be there to fight guys that, even slightly out of their prime, would've been better choices than the Wade's, Monroe, etc. I mean the guy fought and stopped Geale in 3 rds, but then a almost 20 lb lighter Cotto stopped him in 4 in just as devastating fashion. I know I know it was at 157, but it's not like Geale looked like DLH when he fought pacquiao. That doesn't tell me much except Geale wasn't in Cottos league. Golovkin was hell bent on unifying the division and hide behind that excuse to move up. Now it's done, now there's no reason to look at a Degale, Jack, etc, etc, to prove he is truly elite. If he does that, he WILL gain more respect, more fans, and more money fights.

What a pathetic, jealous, loser attitude that is.Comment

But Hopkins moved down for Oscar, moved up to LHW and got a belt there, and his last fight was vs. Kovalev. So we know Hopkins has heart. The question today: Is GGG on the same level as Sugar Ray Leonard, Oscar, B-Hop, Mayweather, Cotto, and Pacquiao? All those guys had belts in multiple weight classes!Comment

No, I don't know that, do you know why? Because he has yet to fight ANYONE top tier. That makes me jealous? Grow the f*** up. Gonzalez is the p4p best, lomachenko on a p4p basis is better, Kovalev is better, and let's not even get into resumes of who is better because your boy would be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy tf down.Comment

I don't care that he stays in a division if it was stacked, but it's not. Thus, it's very easy to say that. Hagler, fought some of the best of his generation, even if they came to him. Name 1 fighter that golovkin has fought that's even 1/4 of the talent of just Ray Leonard....please.Comment

These are all guys who started at lower weights at considering younger period than this man currently is. He's 33 not 17, 18, 20, 21, as those fighters you mentioned were. Jordan was the greatest guard ever in the NBA, you wouldn't be asking him to move to Center just for a challenge. We need to stop comparing one fighter to the other, not everyone has the same ambitions or wants to write the same story line. Golovkin at this point can only move up in weight, moving down long term is not an option. He will move up when they figure the time is right. I wanted him to move up well over a year ago and then realized...I don't pay that mans bills. Should they be making better fights? Yeah, am I going to sit around complaining about it? NO.
Btw. Jordan could've played anywhere and been the man, please don't compare an unproven fighter to a beyond human basketball player.Comment

An unproven fighter based on your sideline standards is all that much less than a fact my friend. In fact we've seen three top fighters in a row completely abandon millions in order to not face him, two HOF's in fact. Since we are going to go down this path lets paint the whole picture then because to hear some of you people talking smack you'd think these guys were trying to get the likes of butterbean instead of top fighters. Three top ten names, two future hof's, two other up and coming champions, and they even offered the king of 168 a fight when he could still make 168. That's good enough for me..I've started calling out the other names since they are the ones not wanting to fight. Jordan could not play PF or Center...i'm sorry you clearly must be too young to get why.Comment
