You say he is in the top 5 but dont deserve a Fury fight.
Maybe the top 5 thing can be argued but I think he's correct overall as far as $$ and significance of the fight... Wilder needs a good win under his belt to really have this thing take-off. The Povetkin thing set him back a little bit-really robbed him of an opportunity to do what Techliam is saying. Just like Fury was set-back when the Haye fight was called off.

Okay I'm just going to say it. Does anybody not find Lou Dibella an insufferable blowhard that is always acting like a wise guy?

He reminds me of how a stereotypical New Yorker would be portrayed here, without the Hebrew/yiddish/Italian dialect. I don't even know if he's from New York.

It was easy to side with him in the Sergio vs Chavez fiasco but he is just as bad if not worst than these big wigs like Arum.

He always acts like he has the moral high ground talking like a condescending schmuck about the vitality of boxing how one side of the spectrum (Haymon) is good and the latter evil. He is basically just a lawyer for boxers that side with him and will defend fights against **** competition till his grave

If he needs a good win, then why not let Fury be his first good win? Wilder is already a draw idk about Fury. Why does this fight needs to marinate when Wilder is the wbc champion? It would be a Heavyweight unification match, this fight would easily generate big money. You all said Wilder was scared so why does he need to wait all of a sudden?

The fight would be underwhelming as Fury would be levels above that Basketball player.
Until he either KO's himself with an uppercut or Wilder drops him badly (hit himself with an uppercut once and got dropped by a cruiserweight).

I don't think I've ever accused Wilder of being scared. I actually think he is an admirable guy who fights because of his daughter, he isn't scared. Just saying, he had a fight fallout and didn't get the shine he could have gotten. It will generate big money, but now Joshua is in a position to generate more for Fury...and would also be a unification.

A Povetkin win have put some pressure on Fury to fight Wilder instead of Joshua imo. Now Fury will be able to get away with saying hey I have this other unification with Joshua that makes me more money...both of them have about the same resume, 1 good win. Maybe 2 since Joshua is in better position to fight someone like Haye than Wilder.

Anyway, he is someone who likes to keep an active schedule, so I'm sure he is agitated about a wasted training camp...I assume he will want to get in a fight to get that out of his system and maybe get back to that and let things develop for a minute. Maybe Joshua opts to fight Haye instead of Fury, and then Wilder fight becomes the nextbest thing for Fury. He fights for money. I'm not asking anyone to wait, just looking at the landscape

Would be a great fight. The pre-fight press conferences would be crazy.

Im not sure this makes much sense ? A contender is not a unproven individual ,its somebody in the running ,and despite a weak resume , Wilder IS a champion not a contender !
