I think Mayweather is a fraud but I actually won't criticize him for this. Sure a real ATG champ would be calling out GGG, and would have fought Khan already (who I think would have beaten Floyd, styles make fights) but Mayweather has succeeded in keeping my expectations low, so I would love to see this. Mcgregor has little boxing skill but at least he's in his physical prime with a good physical skill set. When is the last time Mayweather fought someone in their physical prime, without draining them (that will be the only issue. Fight should be at 154 if Mcgregor is expected to fight 12 rounds. He could only make 145 because UFC is a shorter fight), who had offensive talent?

I can't remember when Floyd has really ever fought someone like that. Does it suck that he has to pick an MMA fighter for us to finally see him fight someone in their prime, not drained, who has power and a little bit of speed and isn't a midget next to Floyd? Yes, but that's Floyd for you. He will always make sure to get himself a huge advantage. In the past he's already picked or put opponents at physical disadvantages, and we've seen that so many times. This time he's putting his opponent at an experience and craft disadvantage, but most Floyd opponents have craft disadvantages anyway. At least this time we'll see something different, and if Connor can learn how to cut off the ring, and if he can walk through Floyd's punches since he will definitely get hit, then maybe we might see more of a fight than Berto, anyway.

I'd prefer Floyd fight GGG, but compared to Danny Garcia or Andre Berto, I'd much rather see Floyd fight someone like Mgregor who at least has some skills and power, even if he doesn't have the experience.

that's probably the reason why floyd retired, WBC is using VADA testing.

This fight will just never happen. For the very simple reason that Conor has not proven a single thing in professional boxing. Even as gutless as Floyd can be with fighting the Robert Guerrero's and Berto's he would never stoop as low as fighting Conor. Even if it meant the mainstream media and mainstream sports world going nuts in excitement, relishing over an absolute beat down over this UFC created hype job that has captured EVERYONE'S attention.

Floyd is genuisly using this as a promotion to stay relevant as the center of attention in the fighting world. He also might be starting a fire inside of the UFC monopoly over MMA. Perhaps dangling contracts in front of Conor promising him more money than he could ever make in the UFC power structure in one outing. Then prompting Conor to go ape **** and challenge UFC's ceiling over MMA.
Then what does Dana do? Silence Conor's career in front front of the massive audience they've garnered or ...I mean idk ..what the h*ll else would they do?
My bet is struggle to pull the wool over the fans eyes while simultaneously setting Conor up for irrelevancy whether it be a fixed match up or more likely a staged controversy. Either way UFC is going to look like **** and I think Floyd ....or let's just say Haymon, knows that.

H*ll though, Haymon probably wants some ******ed cross-over thing with a fight like this on PBC to take away UFC as the premier combat sport

If this was a non black like GGG or Pacman pushing to fight McGregor, the Floymos would be at their neck discrediting them saying see these dam bums! these hype jobs just looking for an easy money fight in boxing, this guy cherry picking now he fighting MMA fighters smh, Ducking black boxers again!

we all know this, and they are the ones who always cry haterism and racism, and jealousy and call people toms if they diss Floyd or say one thing that doesnt praise him.
