    Betting: Makabu vs Bellew

So the fight is starting in a couple of hours, and i cant decide whether to bet on Makabu by KO or just being the winner.

Ive been following Makabu for a while and hes definetly the real deal, has a good chin, big power, creative angles. His weaknesses are that he is such a slow starter and he gets hit pretty easy.

In his last fight little over a year ago he KOd Thabiso Mchunu, who is alot better then Bellew and Mchunu has a similar style to Mayweather and is very tricky and awkward

To add to that Makabu seems like a very confident guy, and Bellew wont intimidate him at all, Makabu has been waiting for this oppurtunity for a long time, which is why i think he was so light on the scales (196.8 lbs) cause the dude is a beast in training, kinda like Bradley in the way he almost overtrains for fights, meanwhile Bellew looked flabby and in worse condition then his last fight vs Masternak

Who will you be betting on? as i see it, Bellew's only chance of winning is by getting an early KO between round 1-3, after that its too late, Makabu is a slowstarter and adjust as the rounds go by, and hes arguably stronger in the later rounds then the beginning, he has supreme conditioning and stamina.

So it wont be the case of Anthony Crolla vs Ismael Barroso, where Barroso was completely gassed halfway thru, Makabu will be looking to chop Bellews head off later in the fight, and if Bellew got pimpslapped by Adonis i dont see no way in hell he can beat Makabu

Makabu by KO is a pretty safe bet.

Thats what concerns me, if it wouldve been on neutral ground id bet Makabu by KO any day of the week, but with these ****ty refs they have in UK, if Bellew can get away with dirty tactics maybe it could go the distance.

I have not watched much of Bellew since hes nothing special really and too me he isnt really worth watching, but how is his chin? bad / ok /good?

I mean he got destroyed by Adonis, and Makabu has similar power if not more, and has better punch technique than Adonis aswell, but Adonis does have more snap in his punches

Bellew can endure a lot of punishment we seen it a few times in his career so it would not surprise me they go the distance...its a toss up really with Makau's power but Im not to confident about it -- not at this level. If it goes the distance those cards given Bellews history will be close enough for a draw or split decision...good luck.

I stayed away from this fight betting wise. Makabu has been off for a year & I think Bellew is a tough & rugged guy who can steal some rounds or a fight from you if you show up half ass or just rusty. The likely case is Makabu by KO as mentioned, but I kinda like Bellew as a sleeper enough times here that I couldn't bet on this fight.

There is no lay off tho, Makabu trains all year long, if i was from poverty Africa trying to make it out of the struggle id prolly do the same, check out his training motivation videos on youtube, hes an absolute beast
