but Hop showed what he was all about
and well al of his other fights wheren't even close,
and his other lost was his first Pro- Fight
so i take the loost against RJJ as his biggest fight.
Bernard did show good skills in the Roy fight even though he did lose back then. I wouldn't say it showed all his capabiltiees as a fighter though.

Hopkins acquitted himself very well in the Jones fight.

Jones was one step ahead of him the whole way.....but you could see how skilled & tough Hopkins was.
Roy was flattening & dominating opponents back then.....Hopkins did at least test him somewhat.

He's just trying to get people to believe that he's fading.

He did test him very well but if you were promoting Hopkins as a amazing fighter to someone who hadn't seen him would that be your choice? What about his other fights where he has shown superior qualities and won?

No, I wouldn't use that fight. He lost to a superior fighter that night.

I guess the Trinidad fight would be the best....as long as those you were trying to impress were patient enough to sit through the dissection.

Hopkins most spectacular performance was against Joe Lipsey.
He dominated him for 3 1/2 rounds & then knocked him cold with some awesome punches.

I haven't seen the Joe Lipsy fight but that sounds impressive. The Tito fight would be a good one to show although the person watching would have to understand how respectable Tito was at that point.

If they have followed any boxing over the last few years, they'd know how good Tito was.

True, it would be a sad boxing fan not to know how good Tito is and was. How do you think he'd cope against Bernard now?

But it didn't show his complete capabitlies as a fighter though that fight. Like Jabz said, the Tito fight showed his superior talent.
