Crawford has done absolutely nothing in the sport, he hasn't even been impressive against the street sweepers he's fought so far.

I don't even think he'll beat Postol, who's good but not elite.
Mosley was a better fighter in his prime.

Mosley does great when fighters come to him but he can be outboxed...thus far..bud has not been outboxed or outfought

this isnt about what mosley would have done. its about what they do different and what their strengths are

Bud has a better jab than mosley and he also fights a steady pace. Mosley fought in spurts.

Mosley was a fighter who could box....Bud is a boxer punch and he can be more patient and deliberate than mosley who is lost with a jab in his face and decent movement. All his losses near his prime came to guys who outjabbed him...Forrest 2x, Cotto, Wright 2x

Bud wont have a problem with the height and reach because he fights well inside and counters off jabs well,

I agree about Mosley, but he's still a better boxer than Crawford by far. Mosley could be outboxed by top level guys, which Crawford is most certainly not.

Crawford is not a boxer puncher because he can't punch, don't let his stoppages over chinny midgets like Lundy and Gamboa fool you. And he can't fight on the inside, not sure where you got that idea from, Crawford can't throw short, compact punches, he needs space.

i disagree...he fights well on the inside and mid range. Goes to the body well and has very good uppercuts.

If he couldnt punch, he wouldnt have 20 kayos across two weight divisions. Lundy to my knowledge was never stopped and is a good fighter. Gamboa hadnt been stopped either. Yes they were smaller, but size doesnt always translate into getting knockouts. You have to apply the punches at the right time and place to get the ko.

I'm not sure you know what inside fighting is, anyway...

He's been stopping guys who are not only C level (Gamboa is an exception), but also far smaller than him, even then his KO ratio is very average. Crawford is not a puncher.

Everything about Crawford is overrated imo, there's just nothing special about him. I don't see the hype lasting much longer tho...

i dony know what fights you've been watching but Bud fights off a pivot and works counters to the body and head... manuevering inside and out, side to side..he took his height away.

look at the highlights vs presscot....he is jabbing from the outside and slipping nthe jab to get body shots in.....he also mixes up his range

bud has an inside gasme, he just isnt languishing there like a sitting duck like the stereotypical come forward swarmer.

who is hyping crawford up? he isnt in tabloids, magazine covers, hardly has a thread about him on this forum.

if you dont see anything special, thats cool. He is a good fighter and we dont know what he can do until he faces elite...thank god he is facing postol...same can be said about GGG...I see nothing special...he is overrated to me because he hasnt taken any risks opponent wise...until he faces a top 3 guy like Crawford is, the jury is still out for me. KOing no names wont cut it

As for Postol clinching, if Cawford doesn't come prepared for that and prepared to destroy Postol on the inside every time he tries to clinch then he doesn't deserve to win! PERIOD! Very excited about this fight regardless.
But when skills are equal, size can be the deciding factor.....

At no point in that video is Crawford showing me an inside game, all I see is wild combinations at mid-range against a bunch of cab drivers.

Crawford has a very bad defence and I'm not sure he has the best chin either, I see him getting viciously knocked out when he fights a decent level puncher.

Good post. All fans just need to be more honest. There are very few fighters with great wins out there at the moment. It's why guys like Fury and Kell get respect for their wins despite having really thin resumes.

Crawford/Spence/GGG(and others of course) all seems really good and may very well be. But when have they fought someone like themselves? Someone actually thought to be in the same talent level? Crawford is the closet in that he fought Gamboa but that was a LWW cutting weight fighting a FW blown up.

It'd just be great to see the fights which in this case, we are.

Who's hyping Crawford up? Almost every media outlet has him in their top 10 p4p, which is nothing short of ******ed.

It's interesting that you bring up Golovkin, how is it that you're so critical of him when he's fought better competition than Crawford and looked better? Golovkin has been trying to fight the top guys in his division for as long as he's been on the scene. Anyway, I don't like discussing anything Golovkin related on this place cos things get out of hand real quickly.

I give Crawford credit for finally stepping up in competition and I'll give him more credit if he gets the job done, but I got Postol in this one, even though I don't rate him too highly either.
