    Postol v Crawford size difference..

I was quite struck at the size difference here:

5'11" 74 inch reach.. Bit of a spoiler (kind of an Herrera/WK type fighter) type fighter. I suspect this guy is going to be a hard guy to beat for any LWW.

I know its not the be all & end all but he has a rangy style & is incredibly athletic too! This for me is the fight everyone is sleeping on.. It's a big deal IMO Can't wait..

Shades of Mosley v Forrest maybe? Martinez v Williams?

bud is more technically sound than mosley, who depended more on his physical gifts to overwhelm opponents.

Bud systematically breaks you down. He is a better pure boxer than Mosley ever was

I think bud stops him late

    my 2 cents

it will be interesting to see how crawford does against someone who's not a midget or a bum

we all should be thankful this fight is happening, though

I mean, the best 2 boxers in a division facing each other???

      that's almost unheard of, nowadays

This is a very dangerous match up for Crawford, Postol is awkward and tall, This is basically the acid test, Top Rank is throwing him in with a tough fighter who is high risk low reward to see if Crawford is the real deal.

If I was HBO I wouldn't have approved this fight its too dangerous for Crawford, if Crawford beats Postol comfortably and without struggle you have to consider him p4p.

          Crawford is in trouble indeed

he's never fought a fight where he wasn't the outboxer

he usually likes to fight midgets, former flyweights, and head first brawler types

Crawford is stepping into unknown territory here, against a guy with talent on top of that

          Postol UD/TKO

TR has ran out of cab drivers for Crawford. He would have pulled a Stevenson or Mikey move if he had the chance.

If he can't clinch, he can't win. As long as the refs allow him to do that non stop (which all refs seems to be allowing nowadays and fans don't seem to get mad at it) he might seem an elite fighter.

Totally agree with you man. Postol clinches a lot. I personally hate it, but most fans seem to be okay with it.

The ref will have a huge part in this fight. If he lets Postol do his nasty clinching, then it's all over for Crawford.

Yes man, it's good to find people with common sense... it's rare lately. A lot will just say: "hey, Postol outboxed him. Clinch is a tactic". Ok... whatever. The rules don't say so and common sense either. You don't want to see a fight with people hugging an opponent. They are supposed to box, not wrestle.

Looks like a weight class above. Not just the height the bone structure. Maybe just the angle of the pics idk

I still favor Crawford. Postol is pretty good but he's sloppy and real shaky at times.

BTW is this decent fight still going to be on PPV?!?
