Lets be clear... the 900k buys were mainly due to Cotto not Canelo. Also for the GGG ppv, why would you pay to watch at home a mismatch as the betting scene goes? Canelo will need GGG as i see him losing to a few JMWs and of course many middleweights could beat him.

^^^^^ There it is in bold type GGG fans. That's YOU being described top to bottom. Do you need some barbecue sauce with that crow burger?

This fight won't lose appeal, and it certainly won't lose money in a year or two. It will gain both. And you know that. Patience kids, it'll happen soon enough. If I were Canelo, I'd do the same, rather than be pressured. He can do what he wants and still make big fight purses. GGG takes a huge pay cut for refusing to go with any kind of CW. That's on him. This is, bottom line, a business. I agree with Roach for once. Yes, ultimately it is probably GB who pressured Canelo to walk for now. But that doesn't mean the fight will never happen.

No, more like roach is trying to get on canelo's good side to secure a match with him and Manny.

I think Freddie is hoping for Canelo vs. Cotto II. I think Oscar is just trying to make GGG concede to a CW fight. Now if GGG comes out and says he's willing to accept a CW, and Canelo still refuses, then we know he's really ducking him. I can't be mad at Canelo. He's already fought Trout, Mayweather, Lara, Kirkland, and Cotto and he's only 25! I doubt he's scared of anyone, just like Manny wasn't scared of needles. Promoters do what they feel is in the best interest of their fighters!

That's cute little story but I dont see how you narrative fits with the fact that Ward was offered a 50-50 purse split. You certainly dont offer an even split and claim a fight doesnt make "financial sense".

And with Lara, notice the difference between the two. Golovkin didnt have to drop a belt, I mean, THE belt, to avoid a fight with Lara. Alvarez had to vacate the title to avoid Golovkin.

Do you see the differences now?

The ****storm that Canelo finds himself weathering isn't particularly about what he's done, it's how he went about doing it.

"Bring him in the ring - Come and touch my balls - I'll put the gloves on right now, let's do now! - We don't **** around - Me-he-co Me-he-co Me-he-co!!"

"Here's my title - I'm not fighting him - Put out a press release letting people know I'm still fearless though."

The biggest fight that can be made out of any 2 active boxers doesn't bring any money?

                Rigggggght....

This is almost as bad as when May said he had no interest in fighting Pac because of Pac's PPV numbers with Algieri...

                  This isn't at all true.

Golovkin is not on the PPV tier. But right now, that's Canelo and Cotto. Only.

But he's on the next level. And he's a hell of a lot more popular than Bradley or Algieri when Pac picked them.

total bull****. the only opponents who bring more money for alvarez are mayweather and pacquiao. i don't even think a cotto rematch would outsell a GGG fight any more

so unless canelo's next opponent is floyd or manny, money is no excuse for passing on golovkin
