Comments Thread For: Frank Warren: Not in a Million Years Does Eubank Jr. Beat Golovkin

Only the Eubanks would have the audacity to start sounding off about Gennady Golovkin in the same session as the announcement of a British title defence against an opponent whose claim to fame doesn't yet extend much beyond being successful in Prizefighter.

That why the fight would never happen, it career suicide. The man is green in comparison to GGG.

It could still and will likely still get made...the way the Eubanks have been talking about Golovkin they either were told about a bunch of money for doing it or they've been talked into thinking they have a shot. I mean it really is hard to favor Jr in that equation considering he looked average against Saunders.

I hope we get Golovkin/Saunders next, but honestly if I'm Frank there's no way I make it this year. Warren's pattern with Calzaghe & Hatton was to build them up into attractions vs no-hopers then step them up for a mega fight. He hasn't even had a chance to give BJS a single defense yet.

Im sure Nick Blackwell would love to see the beating that Golovkin would put on Eubank. If he's serious, lets make it happen. Golovkin needs an opponent

The one problem with that idea is like it or matchroom are dominating the boxing scene over here at the moment and take 90 percent of the public spotlight and warren will not have any kind of success feeding journeymen to saunders ....the fights just won't do well on t.v and at the arena ....the days of JOE calazghe nights are long gone for warren ...so warren has little option but to try and get a big fight for saunders with a name and then he faces the risk of him losing as well...with matchroom on the other side of the spectrum hearn would try and take the play away and set up a big spotlight fight for Eubanks just so warren loses out...hearn is by far the biggest promoter here and with joshua.brook, crolla and even working with degale warren has little chance of competing with the kind of fights hearn is lining up...plus the animosity is so great between hesarn and warren ...warren can't even say to a UK fighter good luck if you do get in the ring with golovkin because he's a monster...instead it's full of anger and resentment and it just oozes out of warren when ever he writes or makes an interview...pretty sad really

If CEJ was under his banner, he'd be singing a different tune.

                  As he is about BJS

Neither of them have a chance. I like CEJ but calling out Golovkin sounds so fake, especially when they started saying it right when they're signed to fight another guy. Classic Hearn move. Brook calls out Golovkin, Joshua calls out Fury. It's getting a little blatant now.
