Fight Night 2 needs Mike Tyson!

yea I think tyson is still licensed to the maker of mike tyson punchout isn't he?

Yes he was released from his contract with nintendo years back and then was picked up by Codemasters, which produced a horrible game on all of the major consoles and however a diamond was in the rough when they made the Mike Tyson game for GBA, great game and career. Tyson was your trainer and you would work your way through the ranks to fight him, great game actually for the system it was on.

Codemasters still owns the Tyson name, because they are still producing that debacle of a game "Mike Tysons Heavyweight Boxing" for the Xbox console. Codemasters is notorious for locking in contracts for an extended period of time to keep lock on their investments I guess.

However the good news is, Codemasters signed Naseem Hamed to a contract years ago and put out 2 boxing game titles and his contract expired not to long ago (it was sent out in a codemasters newsletters). So the possibility of getting the Prince in a game is very likely for the next boxing game to come out.

Foreman was in HBO boxing along with a lot of other top fighters, My god did that game have a great roster. However none of those fighters are contracted either and acclaim went out of business so Foreman is open season but I bet he is pricing himself out.

AMEN to this thread. That game needs him real bad. Every time I play FN 2004 i always feel like there missing someone. It also needs the Klitschko brothers.

are the klitschkos even in this game, I mean at least vitali should be, though I wish the creat a player mode was more like tiger woods the one now sucks more then last year.

Nintendo made a new Mike Tyson boxing game but it sucks. If they can put lil'mack in Fight Night 2, then they should put Mike Tyson in too if they own him.

I was thinking the same thing. But I guess they could get the right to Punchout easier than to get a license for Tyson in the actual game. But with all of Mike's financial problems he definitely wouldn't turn down a pay day, so it has to be some company that has the rights and is holding on to them. But it was so easy to make Mike in the game. The only thing missing was the black trunks. How could they not put black trunks and black shoes? They had to know that we needed them to make Mike!

I loved Fight Night soooo much. I played it so much, but did anyone who bought this game not put in Mike Tyson. Why the hell isn't he there? Also where isn't George Foreman there?

maybe someone can help, but there was a site that showed you how to create a boxer in fight night that looked just like Mike Tyson, Oscar De la hoya and of course others
