GGG vs Ward at 168 after Kovalev fight

Would be a huge fight, both can meet in the middle, would you like to see it?

Obviously would love to see them fight, but would'nt like to see Ward do that to his body. I think it would be dumb for Ward to try and cut back to 168 after essentially being a LHW for a year and half by the time he fights Kovalev.

I expect Ward should be able to make 168, after all he had Dawson meet him at 168 after he'd been campaigning at 175. Are you suggesting dropping that weight could harm Ward ?

Agree with Dreamer. If they fight, I'd rather they fight at a full weight. Plus, if Kovalev wins, I'd rather see GGG vs. Kovalev, and Kov said he's not going below 175.

If Ward beats Kova GGG doesn't deserves Ward fight lower than 170-171.

Yes I think it would. I'm of the opinion that while he probably could of still made 168, it was hard on him. So him fighting at 175 now and likely changing his diet and how he goes about cutting weight would in all likelyhood hurt him if he tried to make 168 after Kovalev. I mean you brought up Dawson, him doing that all but ended his career.

lol of course everyone would love to see it. I don't know how realistic it is in that I don't believe Ward will go back down to 168 unless he's destroyed by Kovalev. If he wins, it would be such a massive win that he would not look back.

Don't you think Ward would be piddling around with his tune up/interim fights at 168 if he could still make the weight and really wanted to fight GGG?
It's been 2 and a half years now since he's fought at 168.

Ward said that if he went after Kov he would never return to 168. I personally think he can't make that weight. If GGG were to look impressive at 168 then the fight should take place at 171. I personally refuse to give Ward any credit for beating GGG if he clinches more than twice a round unless being hurt. If he does beat him without cheating I will give him full props for the victory.

All this is still a fantasy because I doubt Ward is ever the same after Kovalev takes his soul.
