It was just banned this past January. No excuse for Povetkin though.

Whoever he picks for his voluntary I won't mind one bit. He was all set to fight the #1 guy in his backyard, it's not his fault that the #1 guy was a cheat.

Go make some easy money for now, before the next mando.

How does Povetkin failing a drug test stop Wilder fighting a threat for his voluntary?

They moved Wade into the mando position for Golovkin when Johnson claimed an injury. The report was that Stiverne was severely dehydrated, so yes, I'd like to see him give it another shot. I wondered what the hell happened to him after the fight; seems like he dropped off the face of the earth.

Actually, that's a pretty well educated guess, in my opinion; with the Povetkin mandatory defense likely void (the WBC will take their time, but pissing dirty should inherently mean that Povetkin is no longer mandatory), Wilder's next major target is either Tyson Fury (6'9, 250lbs; if Klitschko[6'6, 240lbs] wins, they'll likely have a third fight) or Anthony Joshua (6'6, 240lbs) at some point in the future.

                Washinton is 6'6, 240lbs.

If the immediate plan, from what I can tell, is to stage a Christmas PPV fight between Fury and Wilder (to basically determine the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world), Washington (or Breazeale) makes the most sense.

Povetkin was tested three times (where he came back clean), waited two weeks, and then tested dirty.

Either VADA is a bunk collecting authority, or Povetkin took a substance well past when it was legal to take the substance.

How many of these has been because of Povetkin? Didn't he want to fight Wach instead of going straight to Wilder? Was Wilder supposed to wait? Didn't Povetkin just fail a drug test, was he supposed to wait here too? If it was up to you Wilder would've been on the bench since Duhappas waiting for this guy.
