Why do people think that Mayweather doesn't have any power?

I really see people all over the place on YouTube saying he's weak. When Mosley literally said that he has about as much power as Canelo.

It's just because he's not knocking guys out left and right.

He wouldn't be able to cut guys' work rates in half if they didn't respect his power.

He's not a 'power puncher' but he's got enough to get your respect.

    Also, brittle hands, doe.

And to be fair, if he pressed for knockouts, he would have more at Welterweight. He had Guerrero hurt in round 8 or 9 and Cotto hurt bad in the 12th IIRC

Because he has no power! People respect his speed and counterpunching not his power. Fighters know Floyd can't knock them out but he can sure outbox them and win on points

Maidana said Broner hits harder and he didn't feel Floyd. But yes he has some average power.

Then why not press for the ko? Because he can't. He had the pop early in his career when he was fighting at lighter weight but since moving up none at all

His power is average. Pushing for a ko would open him up to counters and he's mostly safety first. Floyd is very accurate and quick if he had power he'd have guys rocked consistently in fights with the punches he lands. That doesn't happen.

That's what happens when you move up in weight naturally
