I think the lists make sense too, but Spence seems to be a step above (with more experience). Thurman is very talented, Khan had to be a gimme type thing for the Canelo fight. No way in hell he's up there. I really hadnt seen too much Khan so I Youtubed a few of his fights and wasn't very impressed. A good fighter by all means, but #1? Na....appreciate the input. I'm pretty new to the forums, glad i found them.

I can't put Kell at #1 at welterweight, there just has to be some sort of time limit you can live off of 1 win, that Porter fight was 2 years ago. IMO there is no top guy in the division, all these guys need to fight for that spot

Wrong... he was put there before that , when he was still campaigning at light welterweight

I truly think Spence will become the top dog at 147. I see him beating Khan, Peterson, Vargas, and even Garcia & Bradley (I think his size, speed & accurate punching is too much for them). I do feel he will have hard time w/ Porter, Brooks & Thurman because these guys are bigger in size & are true welters. I think Spence is the real deal.

What about the Vargas kid? He's a straight forward type guy, seems to over rated imo.

We don't know that about anyone at welterweight right now. Hopefully the fights come together to show us. Thurman/Porter is a good start. Garcia/Khan would be great. Brook/Vargas would be a good chance for Brook to give the kind of dominant performance that special fighters have against fighters like Vargas.

I agree, kell is apparently the guy who could beat mayweather according to some, he is disproportionately rated given his cv.

You have to remember that kell is 30 and we are still waiting for his career to kick off and fulfil his potential....That's nuts.

All the other top wws were out there fighting names and in challenging fights in their mid 20s,where was kell?

lol @ some of these posters man! After Vargas shocks everyone and beats the brakes of Shook Brook and brings home the red belt, theres only one fight to make after that and thats Vargas vs. Garcia. Thats a 3 belt unification fight in boxing most popular division between 2 prime Latinos, East vs. West Coast . If PBC/TR threw Santa Cruz vs. Veldez on the undercard and make it PPV, Id gladly pay for that!

As for the other fights people are clamoring about, Khan is done, he will not recover from that beatdown he got by a huge guy, props to him for taking that fight but he will not recover. Garcia starches him before 4 next time, IDK why anyone wants that. I guess its a stay busy $ grab for Garcia.

I really hope Porter beats Thurman, Thurman is always looking at other fighters and not the one in front of him. Besides Porter seems easier to negotiate fights with and an ultimate 4 belt unification I am sure would be easier if Porter has the last belt.

As for Spence, I dont see anyone really giving him a chance if things work out the way I am predicting. He may have to move up or get a regular title or something. My only question about Spence though is how popular would he be if Floyd didnt throw his name out there? All 147 is kinda unproven but I feel people are hailing Mayweathers words and not the fighter himself. Id like to see Spence fight Provodnikov like he did Algeri...

Kell brook doesn't want strong challenges brit way

typical Brit that smooth talking non fighting Kell Brook the Brit girly man. Brook wants easy fights and lots of big talk avoiding the big names. That is the British way.
