He got $1 million vs Canelo which is not unreasonable at all. Viktor Postol and TC are headlining PPV so there is no reason why this won't be.

You forget the PPV buys which were divided at 70/30. That's what I read at least. Maybe the PPV buys were only for Canelo... (I read other article as I was writing and I believe you're right) if that's correct then yes Lara only made 1 million. If he requests that against GGG it would make sense.
