But he's probably much better than Wade! Douglas was on his way to a title fight before getting destroyed by White Tyson! So that being said, Khurtsidze is probably deserving of a shot, just like Stevens and Willie Monroe Jr.
You're right, kinda sad when you think about it though.

Andre Roizer's happy to use Khurtsidze to shield Jacobs. Khurtsidze turned down a Golovkin fight way back when GGG fought Nunez for the vacant WBA title. Instead he chose to fight N'Dam a few months later.

I'd rather see Khurtsidze fight a top 15 MW like Korobov, Johnson, or Eubank first. If no Jacobs or Saunders, K2's next best choice is Lara. It'd give Golovkin a bigger win over Lara than Alvarez could do, plus there's plenty of interest with all the back'n forth talk about GGG/Lara. The fans in San Antonio would turn up for that.

From what i hear he wanted to spend time with his family and a few offers fell thru, now he is lined up to fight next month and hopefully him and GGG can fight this fall

Granted, Khurtsidze was able to overcome young up-and-comer Douglas, but Golovkin? This is a fight that just shouldn't happen.
