    Laughable thread.

As if Haymon's top fighters fight each other often. Had Bradley joined Haymon his resume would have been full of cab drivers and semi retired fighters. He would have had Diaz, Malignaggi, Bundu, Karass, Judah, Collazo, Kamegai.

yeah i saw the press conference video and he said top rank is the best promoter out there and he said don't even worry about calling him because he already resigned and wants to finish his career there.

I don't blame him. Those 2mil minimums for non ppv fights are pretty sweet.

He made over 19mil dollars alone from just the 3 pacquiao fights and marquez.

actually that article on this site a couple days ago said the haymon top rank lawsuit is dropped and they are going to start working together so he doesn't need to sign with haymon to get garcia or guerrero or khan eetc

Nah in Tim's case specifically I think he made out like a bandit with TR.

I was more commenting on TR's & other promoters sketchy business practice of baiting & switching paydays for a specific guy if you sign an extension vs not, giving you subpar opponents if you don't sign an extension & other things like that that shouldn't be allowed if the sport was cleaner.

There should be a good faith effort to get a fighters the best options available while he's signed with you & then once the contract is up based on the promoters success or failure on your behalf you re-sign with him or not. Obviously with all the potential choices out there & various relationships that can be hot or cold its hard to say a fight is or isn't possible at any given time to judge a good faith effort. For that reason I don't think there should be extensions at all. You get a fighter for x (3yrs?, 4yrs?) period of time & regardless of him winning a title or a promoter dangling a carrot contracts shouldn't be renewed without a period, however short, of free agency.

either way, TR have made him a millionaire and a win over JMM has marked him as one of the best of his generation, adding to wins over future or past title holders in Provo and Vargas.

Bradley's legacy is secure. It could get better though, especially with wins over Khan, Cotto, TC...none of which requires a haymon specific contract.

                Just sayin.

Lol like he said, he joined tr for the PAC fight nothing to do with his 140 run. He signed an extension after the jmm fight I think. Point is he would have had a much better legacy if he left after the jmm fight. He stayed for the check

i agree with some of what you said but fighters need to sign long term deals or why would a promoter invest in them only for them to fight on other promoters cards?

a promoter loses money as they build a fighter up and try to get them to the hbo/sho level where they make big purses.

fighters like herring, spence, valdez, verdejo have had lots of money invested in them and if guys like valdez or verdejo could walk now why would top rank have invested so much money in them? same with spence and herring. Haymon has put a bunch of money into them and if they were free to work with a different promoter instead of haymon he would be out all that money

Despite not having a huge fanbase, Bradley has earned more with TR than literally every other fighter with Haymon except Floyd and Khan. Why would he ever want to leave?

This thread is beyond dumb and the OP should be euthanized for irredeemable ******ity, lol
