    Name dropping

Floyd is doing exactly what Mcgregor and Rousey name dropping the opposite sports biggest name. Well played Floyd.

The amount of TV, radio and online coverage of this by ESPN has been huge only because its two outspoken athletes, both popular and proven money earners in their discipline, both polarizing, one black and one white. I get espn is about ratings and this stuff is ratings gold.

However, when "boxing" fans dedicate the same amount of energy to this you have to wonder WTF is going on.

in terms of an opponent that will make $100+ mil, yes. floyd does need someone like mcgregor. get over it, floyd is not a draw unless he's fighting another big name.

Wow!! Really?! You don't say! Could have fooled me. I was positive that he and Floyd were going to fight.

Never would have guessed it all to be fake promotion.

First Conor ducks a Diaz rematch and now a Floyd boxing match. This dude is gonna get beat again anyways and become irrelevant.

Floyd is a master boxer while Connor is an all around mma fighter. Would have been more interesting to see if Floyd's skills would be able to overcome Connor's skills or vice versa.

In a boxing match Connor had absolutely zero chance.

I'm just happy its not happening as it would have proved nothing.
Not really, could you imagine a football player trying to fight a hockey player on ice! You want to guess who wins that?

You're right, it proves nothing at all.
