Could be hand problems. He still throws his right, but misses a lot and wide. Since when was his aim bad? He looks to be regressing in an odd way. He has the same style, just not as effective as earlier.

Missing your shots has absolutely nothing to do with hand problems. As a fan of a guy who's career has been plagued by hand problems, I know the signs too well to be fooled like that.

A typical sign of hand problems is when the guy doesn't throw the shots at all, or does but does it tentatively and sparringly.

Felix Verdejo's problem is a simple problem of an inability to make adjustments. That is all.

When you grow as a name, people become more aware of you and more and more of your strengths and weaknesses become apparent through study of tape, and therefore opponents come better prepared for you come fight night.

The key to solving this problem is the ability to make adjustments to your style for specific opponents (in training camp) and on during the fight (on fight night). Felix seems to suck at both.

Verdejo is talented but he should be blowing out the guys hes been fighting. Instead it's been decision central.

Beltran just fought Ivan Najara and stopped him. That should give you an idea of how Verdejo SHOULD of beaten him.

Verdejo should fight Beltran next and beat him impressively. Otherwise the hype train on him really is starting fade...
