Let's be honest, Canelo is not a Middleweight. He's not ducking Golovkin.

They probably thinking he is not a devastating puncher unlike his Khan fight suggests Canelo is not a pig puncher so they dont want him at full MW because his power gets less against bigger stronger men that what he has been fighting .

Canelo is a good fighter it wasnt good PR to pull out of this GGG fight they should have bit the bullet and took the fight .
Everybody's power gets less when they move up and fight bigger stronger men.

Your hero, Floyd was 26-0 20KOs going into the first JLC fight, and scored a measly 6-7 more KOs throughout the entirety of his career.

            Your argument is moot.

              Not true.

You think you get bigger and you get weaker?

              Lol

              No.

Bigger opponents take punches better. Usually.

They made their WW era look like big for nothing losers, coming in at 3-4lbs above their Friday weight. No one really cared before May/Pac, since they saw the two most successful welters of this time were no bigger than 3-4 more lbs on fight, others fight night weights started looking exaggerated. It's more normal to gain 10-17lbs than it is to gain 3-5lbs

Martirosyan weighed 153 and gained 17lbs, was 170 in a JMW fight. No one even blinks, other than a few posts saying holy ****, but no real outrage, no threads, no journalist writing about it, no media attention. It's not news. He will probably stay at 154, no one will care. Lemiuex gained 15lbs vs Tapia who only gained like 5lbs, nobody really cared that Lemiuex was 175lbs on fn. Trout comes in 170 regularly and is a JMW, he came in at 171 vs Canelo, no one cares, it's Trout, it's Martirosyan, it's Lemiuex, they're not that 'important', in boxing politics terms

I think it only matters depending on your popularity, success. Canelo going up to 171-172, it's a big deal
First: Canelo is going up at 175.
Second: Canelo fights in the MW division since three years ago.

If he wants to stay at 154 all good... but he doesn't stay there. And he can't create his own division, you conveniently forgot that.

Oh that's a great idea. You know who else blows up pretty high? Jr. welterweight champion Terence Crawford, who balloons up to 153-154 on fight night. Maybe he should fight one of the Charlo twins, J-Rock, Demetrius Andrade or Erislandy Lara since Terence is obviously a jr. middleweight right? Right?

Freaking boxing nubs these days. Most Light Heavyweights balloon up to 185-190 or higher on fight night. Hypothetical match - After second day weigh-in: Canelo (170) vs random LHW (190). Makes no sense.

There isn't any official rules that says how much weight a fighter can gain after the contracted weigh in but dummies keep bringing it up for some strange reason.

When you say dummies, you just mean Golovkin fans. It's okay to say it. It's true.

I understand their frustration with his career, but that's not Canelo's fault, not Mayweathers fault, etc.

It's up to K2 and Golovkin, had chances to fight Ward and Canelo with concessions and they didn't want to. Point the finger at the source.

Does tcraw fight at 136 and say he's too small to fight pistol at 140?
