How does a guy with a 0-0 boxing record, who just got his ass handed to him in his own sport mind you, deserve a fight against the best P4P fighter in boxing? I think Floyd is only entertaining this circus show to stay relevant and see if it does garner any interest. Plus it's been McGregor who has been keeping Floyd's name in his mouth for over a year for publicity. Even if McGregor gets a supposed 7 million in his next UFC fight, his days are numbered because quite frankly he isn't a complete MMA fighter and the blueprint is there to beat him.

Well, if the fight ever happens, Mayweather will earn more than McGregor. There's no way Floyd is ever taking a smaller purse than his opponent these days and hasn't for a long time.

Floyd doesn't need anybody. He could come back for 2 fights and with the right opponents make around $100m. McGregor wouldn't even make 10% of that without Mayweather.

Initial purse, yes but I think Hatton ended up making more than Floyd because Floyd and team didn't factor in the UK PPV buys.
