Amir Khan "Brook fight will never happen" & Rightfully so!

Khan is more famous, Khan is more popular and it's better than fighting Jo Jo DanComment

Brook is not more popular than Khan. Brook can do well in his home town, but he does not have a great fan base. How many UK fans went to the Porter fight?
There is a reason why Khan's name is constantly mentioned.
Khan has a lot of haters, but he also has a lot of fans.
Mentioned with what? The only time Khan's name is mentioned in the UK is in relation to a fight with Brook.
And that's the truth. P.s a fair few people went to the Porter fight. Probably more than the few who's gone abroad to see Khan for years.Comment

you'd fight canelo at a disadvantaged weight and get KTFO but wont fight a fellow brit champion in your division????
this is why amir khan gets hated on smdh....Comment
-
Of course he is. In Britain. Nobody cares about Khan at all, it's like he's not even British. Sky don't even buy his fights ffs. That says it all.

There was a BBC radio special on khan before the Canelo fight and that's even though it was an American based fight.
Hearn himself has said khan is one of the most marketable fighters, that's why he wants the fight..... Durrrrr.Comment

I thought Khan was 'all about Legacy'?
Ducks the chance to win a world title in his home country against his most hated rival...
People don't like Khan because he is basically full of ****.Comment

If khan wants cotto, pacquiao etc then he is being consistent, he wants to be as big a boxing legend he can be, chasing them over Brook is ofcourse more valuable.
Throwing mud at anything khan says and hoping it sticks makes you look silly if you get pulled up on it.Comment

Sky have been trying to push Brook and still no one cares.

He was marketable. Problem is he hasn't been marketed at all in the UK, so he has almost no fans left. Nobody cares about him. He's known for getting brutally knocked out every time he steps up.Comment

And BBC don't have the Matchroom connection like sky do.
It's actually true, he was everywhere before, now he is not as big in the UK.kell clearly isn't a big draw.
Makes me wonder why Hearn reckons it does 80k in Wembley, if it's not Amir filling the stadium sure as hell ain't kell.Comment

If your ambitions are to be a British level legend then yea maybe fight Brook, and I say maybe cos Brook ain't exactly a big personality or champion like Benn or Eubank, or even froch or groves.... So your belief that fighting Brook even makes khan a potential brit level legend is highly dubious, Brook is a nobody.

Khan will never be a legend anywhere, let alone the US.
Whenever he steps up and challenges a top fighter he gets KTFO.
Face it, beating Paulie and Zab does not equate to being a 'Boxing Legend', neither does getting getting knocked unconscious by Canelo.
Say whatever you like about Brook - its the biggest fight that Khan could ever have - and he's bottled it.Comment
