He wasn't giving interviews when he managed New Kids on the Block. He's always been this way, as you said. Who cares, really? Whiny lil kids that's who. I love Cap'n Crunch but I don't care who the CEO of makers Quaker Oats or Pepsi are, let alone wonder why they're so "secretive."

I think I said that more or less, but the problem is Haymon doesn't have anyone working with the media it seems at all. Or not doing it well.

If someone throws poison in some Pepsi you can bet Pepsi has a spokesman to spin that & handle the media. Prichard Colon has had his life drastically changed in an injury in a PBC fight & there is no one for anyone to contact about it & while I hear that Haymon is taking care of things it has a feeling of being swept under the rug. If this had happened with a GBP or TR guy there would have been more discussion by GBP or TR about the incident.

And everything feels like that with PBC. Thats a problem in this era that I don't think Haymon understands or has grasped is a problem yet. People like clarity & transparency.

Fair enough if he doesn't wanna speak or be filmed. But he needs someone fronting PBC. Hopefully that'll be Slick Ricky in a couple weeks with it coming out he's got some gig in the business.

Maybe Haymon learned the value of remaining behind the scenes from his time in the music promotion business. I think it's a smart move on his part. Besides, the boxers he manages seem to have access to him and appear happy with whatever he's doing.

Nothing good would come from him becoming more visible.....

This is a fair assessment, but I think PBC needs someone who represents them. Thats the real problem here. If Haymon has issues with being in public or talking to the media fair enough, but PBC needs someone to be the media & fans face & spokesperson for PBC. There is lil to no narrative control that PBC has taken & I think thats had negative consequences for them.
