Yeah 23 like Antoine Douglass who had a far worse experience (albeit vs a much better fighter). Better to take your lumps now. Lemieux and Jacobs both had their stoppage losses at 23/22 years.

Why is it so difficult to believe one fighter was overhyped and the other was underrated with a great skillset? On top of that, he recently fought Ahmed Elbiali who was a power punching 175 pounder. And if that guy cant dent you, how is a 160 fighter going to.

Magomedov was starting to look suspect to me in his last few fight, especially the one before this one, but I am shocked that Hernandez was the one to beat him. I've seen Hernandez before and he didn't look too good, but he brought it in this fight. Respect.
Devin Haney is doing a great job of promoting himself, but I still don't see it.
To be fair he's only 17 and six fights in, so I guess we'll see how his career comes along, but as of now I don't see the special talent people are making him to be. Just my opinion.

Inside fighting is a weakness of the Russian style.

Premature stoppage in the Boone fight.

Going into a fight with a record of 11-4-1? Yes he could of had the fight of his life. but going into a fight with only a 75% win ratio is not being underated. it means you are an average fighter. But as you said he normally fights in a higher division maybe he has been fighting too high up and he finally came down to a division that he is better suited to. 50-1 though!!!!

The record does not mean a fighter is average. Many fighters are put in tough early and the record is the result of that, of short notices, bad management, wrong divisions, etc. Just as well as many fighters are put in soft or not as tough and have inflated records. People who follow boxing closely see this all the time....history is littered with countless examples of guys like him who are better than hyped up products, especially selectively matched undefeated fighters. Teddy Atlas has pointed this out many times over the years.
