Why so much negativity for Parker?

    He's not British, so you're not going to stroke most of the people around here. If AJ guts out a win against a top-10 HW (he may fight a quality guy eventually), he'd be praised by Joe Public for showing a new dimension and maturity in his game. But he's not, his career arc is going to be compared to AJ at every post - and fans will see this through their rose-tinted glasses at every said post.

    Parker has flaws, many flaws. He's young, he needs refinement, and if doesn't continue to improve, he'll run into trouble.

    Also, he won. He's got a W on his resume that plenty of guys in the game right now can't match.

      It was a good fight, in round 3 or 4 when he found his proper distance he made Takam look like a punch bag, was classy stuff. The nervous energy and inexperience took it's toll, however going 12 might turn out to be a masterstroke.
