Lets face u americans are a bit ignorant. Latino nothing have to do with race but with the language talked in south and central america. Spanish and portuguese (both come from the same heritage LATIN). The people of south and central america countries are most of them a mixture of the ancient indians and europeans that colonized it. So all i wanna say to finnish my cultural statement is that Latin isnt a race. There are 5 latin countries in Europe: Portugal, Spain, Italy, France and Romania. Speaking 5 diferent languages, all came from the ancient LATIN. Then Portuguese and Spanish colonized central and south america. So they speak a LATIN language. Understand it?

People from Spain (a random example is the Liverpool FC soccer player Fernando Torres) http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl...-8&sa=N&tab=wi are not the same race as people from Mexico.

Hundreds of years ago the Spanish colonised Mexico and then mixed with the indigenous population.

Most Mexicans today are a mixture and so they are not White, but Spanish people like Fernando Torres are White.
