I remember that a few years ago, GGG was a beast that nobody wanted to fight. His star began rising but the competition wasn't mind blowing. Still, he was fun to watch and was rolling over world-ranked contenders. Pretty positive stuff from most fans.
But when Ring magazine elevated him up the pound for pound list, a lot of hate started to come out then. It seemed like he was no longer a compliment to the sport, but some seemed threatened that he might actually hold some sway over big fights. To me, this is one key factor in all the hatred that now comes his way.
Any thoughts?

We bash every other fighter when they have a **** resume, why should GGG get a pass? Nobody remember when Chavez Jr was the WBC Middleweight Champion and the backlash he was getting for stalling with the Sergio Martinez fight
