... Eubank Jr brings nothing than possibly some substantial payday -- which I somehow doubt, as the UK public (which isn't ******) doesn't buy tickets in order to watch their local heroes dispatched.

... Zurdo is young and green -- he doesn't deserve a "GGG treatment' right now, imo...

    • I think it will be Saunders.

He did an interview a couple of days ago, saying he's possibly got a very big for September. So that ties in with GGG's schedule. It seems GGG's team must have reached out to Saunders if they can't negotiate a Canelo fight. Canelo isn't fighting GGG anytime soon so i think we'll get GGG v Saunders in September.

I think it will be in USA though, HBO will want that i'd imagine and Saunders has now said he's happy to go to USA for the money, so he's probably been told it's USA or nowhere. GGG has made it clear he wants all the belts so it makes more sense to fight Saunders than anyone else.

I suspect that Saunders is chasing Canelo as well (no brainer though)...

Funny you say that because P4P is one of the main reasons people are saying he should fight Ward or Lara. There is No reason for him to go and aggressively pursue Lara. That's why I said before if Lara really wants the fight get Hayman to call or beat Jacobs.

            That's possible too.

Actually Saunders said in the same interview he thinks Canelo is basically tailor made for him with his style.

it gives GGG a common opponent with Canelo.

              or GGG vs Jacobs.

i just wanna see GGG in with somebody notable who can challenge him and give him rounds. it also satisfies a certain "segment" of the boxing fans who think GGG is a fraud.

              aka Andre Ward fans.
He has to fight Jacobs or BJS next if the WBA enforce their mandatory or he gets stripped. So what then?

That said Eubanks, Jacobs, BJS, Lara, khurtsidze, Quillen (yeah he got clipped) but he can come back, Chudinov, there's plenty of fighters out there that can challenge him.
Quillen ducked him already, he has to fight Jacobs or BJS next anyways so your point is? Lara isn't in the MW division.

His people are saying Chris Eubank Jr would be a good fight..... thats the ****ing nonsense coming out from his camp.
So titles don't matter? then why take part in a sport. Name one ATG that didn't care about titles in any sport?
                  Are you on crack?

                    That's what I actually meant.

This, at around the 36 minute mark of the interview he says he has a "big fight" lined up for September, which goes with GGG's camp saying they're aiming for their next fight to be in September, and that GGG wants to fight 3 times this year (Wade, Saunders, Heiland? - He has to defend that WBC mandatory if he's not unifying, don't think Jacobs counts as unification...)

Otherwise, it might be Wade, Heiland, Jacobs if Saunders fights Canelo.

It could be Canelo, I wouldn't put it past him - Canelo v Saunders in America, and then GGG has to essentially beg Canelo for a fight/become his mandatory some how.

If Canelo did do that, it wouldn't be at 160; but I think Saunders could quite easily go down to 155/156. Also, if Canelo did that, he'd get such a negative response from the media, public and other boxers - if we thought vacating the belt to effectively avoid Golovkin was bad, imagine how bad it would be if he then fought another MW for a different belt? Unless they're trying to make Canelo a "baddie" for marketing purposes for the eventual Canelo v GGG fight...

But I don't just buy it. I think it's GGG v Saunders - I may even pray it is, I don't think I could take the drama of Canelo v Saunders.
