The WBA have SUPER/Regular/interim..... so I wonder why he didn't get a shot at the SUPER/Regular champs a little sooner.

That appears to be a failure to mandate, on behalf of the WBA..... so fair point, Golovkin possibly deserves more than 6 defences..... not sure, I would have to check..... but the fact remains that only 6 of those defences can be viewed as legitimate.

So, because the WBA devalued their OWN title for profit, we should lower the standards within boxing and start recognising their #2/#3 guys as champions?

It's such a shame what's happening here. I really enjoy watching Canelo fight, but what he's doing here is trying to let GGG get older and then fight him. Floyd waited Manny out 5 or so years despite being the same age. That fight would've been different younger. Canelo says he's not afraid to fight any man but he's either full of it or is being protected. Regardless all of these things are ruining boxing. UFC makes more and more sense to watch.

That was an idiotic comment yes, but the teenager who posted the ****** comment about Canelo fighting a transgender title vs. Jenner and the fools that applauded it, easily take the prize on foolishness and ******ity IMO. Also the bunch of fools calling Canelo and de la Hoya "girls" or "women" for being afraid of fighting a tough puncher, are really a bunch of ignorant morons as well. So does that mean that being a woman or a girl, makes you a coward automatically? What a bunch of morons.

Canelo is a MAN, he does not want to become a woman physically and socially, just because he may be afraid of losing, TO ANOTHER MAN. He may be a coward, or appear to be at this moment because a financial decision by his manager or whatever, but he is still a MAN. Men can be brave, or coward, every bit the same as women or transgender women (or men) can be. Being brave or a coward has NOTHING TO DO with biological gender or gender identity .
