Thats not the reason at all man, they said they'd fight Froch at 172 so yea, lets just say Ward is focused on Kovalev

So GGG fans cry about canelo not moving up, but walk away when Ward is mentioned, is that how this works?

GGG wants to be a legend, do something legendary. Fighting Ward would have solidified his status. As of now, no big names, hes going after the smaller guys.

Ward rejected the fight in 2013 due to injury reasons, even though GGG said yes.

Now GGG wants to collect the middleweight titles and have big $$$ fights (specifically Canelo). Hence why they rejected Ward's bs 50/50 offer of 168. Cause they were the mandatory of Canelo/Cotto.

What if Canelo takes the fight and beats GGG? Then what? Canelo making the legend moves, not GGG.
