when the fight was first mentioned, ward still had legal issues with his former promotional company. nobody had any idea when or if he was even going to box again. he also wanted 2-3 tune-up fights before facing golovkin. no real offer was made until after golovkin had signed the contract to fight lemieux.

i dont even know why people still talk about this fight or argue about who ducked who. in my opinion, this fight was never a reality. for all we know, ward can't even make 168 anymore. it's been almost 3 years since he's fought in that division.

So Nelo was fighting at 154, we have witnessed his progression to 155, but hes not moving up? Hmmm

So GGG trainer said no to Ward, now says yes if Ward beats kovalev? LOL. Who does GGG think he is? Ward is the A side.

I like GGG, just curious about his thought process or his teams thought process. Scared to move up, but wants others to move up to fight him.

Ward moving up to take on a bigger challenge in Kovalev is stopping it from happening. It's a better fight in every way. Who cares about Ward fighting Golovkin now that he is taking on Kovalev?

canelo has been fighting in the middleweight division for his last 5 fights. 154.01-160 pounds=middleweight. nobody is asking canelo to move up, it's canelo asking fighters from lower divisions to move up and fight him at middleweight.

we just want canelo to fight guys in the division he's been fighting in for the last 3 years.

Ok, so you are saying 154.01-160 is Middleweight, so GGG should have no problem coming to the MW of 155 to fight Nelo, am I hearing you right?

I have a ton of respect for Ward for challenging himself. GGG should take notes.
