Then why the hell is fighting Tom Doran? The Eubanks are banking on Golovkin being busy with either Saunders or Jacobs come September. Lets see if they don't change their story if BJS and Jacobs find reasons not to fight GGG next.

Because Eubank Jr is only 26 years old, is continuously learning on the job, and his camp has consistently kept him active since his debut.

The timing on the Doran fight is roughly 3 months from his last fight, which would then be three months away from a September date.

It doesn't matter what Jr. wants because surely his team isn't foolish. Eubank would be nothing more than a sacrificial lamb right now. He needs to be facing someone like Jacobs/Lemieux or even Quillin.

Same as Lara get your management to call K2 otherwise you like Lara are all talk. But then again if Golovkin fights Jacobs (his wba mandatory) or BJS ( sanctioned unification for the undisputed title) the Eubanks and fans will say GGG ducked.

Eubank won't learn anything beating up Tom Doran, the guy is 5 steps below Blackwell or O'Sullivan. He could've fought Bursak or Heiland and atleast developed a little more from that. Like you said, he just fought, so he's not looking knock rust off, they're looking for a safe KO. The idea he really wants to fight Golovkin next is very skeptical given he's taking a big step backwards in his competition level.
