Lara should be in the mix with Jacobs and Saunders. Either of those three are reasonable next options for Golovkin. I think GGG steamrolls either of them but they are the best available options at 160 or lower.

The haymon doesn't allow his fighters to fight on HBO thing is a myth. If GGG wants it he can make it happen. I think he beats Lara, but it's the fear of looking ordinary is what's keeping GGG from fighting him. Not the money or the lack of a big name.

You're assuming Lara is a threat at 160. I'm saying he should show it, if hes being serious about it all. On top of that, a win over Lara is questionable if he hasnt even fought at 160. I dont share your assumptions

I don't operate on fantasy. Whilst Golovkin is chasing the WBO belt, a Canelo fight and a potential money fight with Ramirez down the line, it would be the perfect time to throw your hat into the ring. Its not as if Lara is on the publics radar at the minute... And a Vanes fight has horrible written all over it.

i don't think the fight would be competitive but then again it hasn't stopped from fights being made before.

Lara would be my 6th choice

1) Canelo - the hype of the event speaks for itself
2) BJS - fully unified MW champion
3) Danny Jacobs - toughest chalanger at MW in my opinion for GGG
4) Eubank Jr - also big event, and huge in England. exciting fight while it lasts
5) Any SMW champion at SMW
6) Lara

Either one of those would be acceptable for me.
