I still feel like the jury is out on Canelo. He got razor thin wins against Trout and Lara. Some people thought Cotto won (I didn't). I never thought Kirkland was much, especially without Anne Wolfe. I just don't really know how good this guy is. Don't get me wrong, I think he is good, but how good???

      Good fight...

I tend to favor winky but could go either way.. Canelo needs to stay active to keep winky shelled up and Canelo probably squeeks a close decision

Why either way? Canelo isn't a volume puncher nor a pressure fighter so the style matchup advantage goes to Winky. He can control the pace with his jab and outbox the guy who struggled to beat Austin Trout, Lara & Cotto. Winky was the better boxer than these guys.

Seems like this forum forgot how good Winky was in his prime.

Winky would jab him senseless all night. Different class of fighter.

Canelo is overrated and I personally don't see this so called drastic improvement. Seems to me like a load of **** people come out with to try discredit Floyds win with.

Easy fight for canelo. Wonky can't Crack an egg. Canelo won't damage winky much, but his fancy flurries will get the nod from the judges vs winkys jab and occasional 1 2 combo lol

Canelo has the arsenal to get through Winky's guard, it'd be a close one but I gotta favor Winky.

Canelo may not be a volume puncher but he is smart enough to understand that letting his hands go like he did vs angulo or kirkland will make winky shell. If you throw one or 2 shots at a time, winky will dissect you but if you can put together 3,4,5 punch flurries and step out of range, you can fluster winky..

That doesn't make sense to me. Letting his hands go like he did against Angulo and Kirkland was simple since they came to him with their face sticking out right in front of him, it's not as easy against a guy who can box and throw a strong jab, if it was, he would have let his hands go against Floyd, Trout & Lara. He's not a volume puncher. He's a boxer-puncher and a counter puncher. Winky is a very bad match up for him.

Prime Winky is a tough fight for anyone.
Nothing Canelo does as of right now complicates this fight for a prime Winky.

Let his hands go against Floyd? Floyd is quick with great movement and defense. Winky is flat footed slow stationary target right in front you, trying to walk you down.. throw a combo and get out of hia way so he can't counter. Old as Hopkins did it, canelo can do it
