There's no one out there, besides a Mayweather; I would have said Pacquiao but now he's a retired Senator in his home country; That can erase the stigma of the diehard Canelo fans turning on him.

However, please understand that Canelo doesn't need Golovkin because he's a cash cow. He can make money fighting whoever he wants but Triple G cannot.

Alvarez has everything that Triple G needs; A box office draw, large following and a loyal fan base.

Therefore, it's almost like Gennady is at the mercy of Ginger, in order to make a fight happen because he needs that pay per view foil in Alvarez, in the hopes of ever becoming a crossover mainstream star.

I think Canelo can beat golovkin because I haven't really seen anything special out of either, but I agree with Nacho, but for a different reason. Canelo made the right move, but now golovkin has no leverage. canelo's draw has transcended the belts, so now he can either take or leave a fight with golovkin. Golovkin on the other hand needs Canelo for the pay day, so it seems like they gone have to drop some weight or Canelo walks.

Yea I agree with Nacho. Plus since Canelo's cut his own balls off he can now make 154 again.

Julio Cesar Chavez Sr said it very well last week, Canelo is not afraid to fight GGG Its Golden Boy Promotions that will not do the fight, How can you guys talk about Canelo a 24 year old kid who is just getting his wings spand, and we don't talk about the biggest bs fight in history that took 8 years in the making Mayeather vs Pacquiao? Canelo doesn't need GGG, GGG needs Canelo!

How much money did he get by getting the WBC belt? We are looking at the worst business decision in the world if GGG doesn't fight Canelo at 155! He will not make any money!

Canelo vs Khan sold 600K + with us knowing the mismatch factor.

GGG fought a bar tender the week before and sold? Who cares his numbers are so low that it doesn't play an issue on the negotiations!

Canelo and Golden Boy know they have the last stroke against GGG, he can get a belt but he will not get the $$$$. Canlo is following the same trend as Money man, He is a business man! Its a bout time a Mexican gets his demands going. Canelo was the B side against Mayweather and against Cotto! Now he is the A side and GGG either agrees or goes home with a 100k ppv view buys the rest of his career! Who does GGG have in the middle weights to make a big purse?

In the other hand Canelo has a lot of options, Lara, Trout if he wins, Cotto, and yes there is a rumor that maybe Danny Garcia will be moving up to 154...All of these names are big numbers for Canelo!

It was Saul's punk move after the Khan fight that bothers me most.
He Invited GGG to the ring and seemingly called him out.
It was just business. But it still makes Alvarez appear like damaged goods before a single punch between the two is ever thrown.

              Golovkin, and that's it.

The thing is Canelo has already lost and it's not dented his popularity yet Golden Boy seem to be engaged in an exercise of brand marketing where they don't want their product being tainted by an L. But in the process they've tainted him with a far worse stigma. His own fans are hounding him on social media as a coward and worse. His fellow professionals are openly deriding him. Journalists are calling for a boycott of his fights.

If this isn't Saul's decision then GBP have stiffed him something royal. They've underestimated just how tired we've become of being short changed.

And they're denying their fighter an opportunity to be great. Ali isn't regarded as The Greatest because he won fights that he was supposed to. He's held in high regard because he triumphed over adversity. He beat fighters in Liston and Foreman that few thought he would. He came back to beat a man who had handed him his first loss and put him on the seam of his pants.

Marquez didn't get a decision three times before he put it right. Being a champion isn't about the number in the Losses column its about how a fighter conducts themselves. Alvarez would do well to force this fight through regardless of what his team think or of how unsure he is that he can win.

They thought it would have been a very punishing loss that could have derailed his career. Kinda like Vargas vs Trinidad, but probably more one sided

Lol. It's worse than ducking, it's turning tail & running! Nacho nailed it: Golovkin will likely beat Caducko, so he & GBP don't want any.
